Recreational Respite Program (Currently suspended due to COVID 19)
The Harris Hands Recreational Respite Program provides social and recreational activities for adults over the age of 18. Activities include but are not limited to Splash Down Waterpark, Rye Playland, AMC theaters, New Roc City and museums. Participants can attend every Saturday. Hours will vary based on trips. Transportation is offered to and from the program.
To be eligible, the individual must be:
- Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) eligible
- Have Medicaid and a Care Coordinator
- Live in the Metro NY area
- Be waivered (HCBS) or be eligible to be waivered
- Ages 18+
- An individual that resides in the community (not residential)
